A Lubbock native, Dr. Simpson attended Monterey high school where he was an accomplished athlete and student. The Texas Tech University School of Medicine pre-accepted Dr. Simpson into medical school when he was just a high school senior. For his undergraduate studies, Dr. Simpson graduated summa cum laude from the Honors College of Texas Tech University majoring in zoology with a biochemistry minor. After residency, Dr. Simpson obtained further specialized training in adult reconstructive procedures by completing a fellowship at the prestigious Houston Methodist Hospital under Dr. Stephen Incavo and Dr. Kenneth Mathis. Dr. Simpson’s fellowship trained him in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted knee replacement procedures and accelerated recovery protocols.
